The sacrifices in the desert land· Verses 22–25

He worshipped with horse sacrifices the Lord who is the lord of sacrifice, with great abundance and with gifts heaped upon the officiants, the rites drawn out by Vasistha, Asita, Gautama and the rest, in the desert country along the flowing Sarasvati. At his rites the men who sat in the assembly and the officiating priests were seen along with the gods, alike in form, unblinking, and finely dressed. Heaven, which the immortals love, was not asked for by his people, who heard and sang together the doings of him whose renown is highest. Desires reckoned against the rule of heaven do not fill out those who see Mukunda in the heart, nor even the things the perfected find hard to get.
