66The good, whose hearts are tied tight in me and who look on everything alike, bring me under their power by devotion, as true wives bring a true husband under theirs. 67They do not want the four things, beginning with living in my world, that are known to come of serving me; they are already full with the serving. Much less do they want anything else, which time carries off. 68The good are my heart, and I am the heart of the good. They know nothing besides me, and I know nothing besides them, not in the least. 69I will tell you the way, brahmin; hear it. This working of yours turns back upon yourself, so go to him from whom it came. Fiery power sent against the good does harm to the one who sends it.
70Austerity and learning are both, for brahmins, makers of the highest good. In one who is not disciplined those very two turn out otherwise for the doer. 71So go, brahmin, and good be with you, to the king who is Nabhaga's son. Ask that greatly favoured man to forgive you, and then there will be peace.
