Kusa's son was Atithi, and from him came Nisadha; his son was Nabha, and then Pundarika his son, and from him came Ksemadhanvan. Then Devanika, and from him Aniha; then Pariyatra his son, and from him Balasthala, and from him Vajranabha, who was born of the sun. Sagana was his son, and from him a son Vidhrti was born. From him came Hiranyanabha, a teacher of yoga; and of Jaimini he was the pupil, that man of Kosala. From him the sage Yajnavalkya learned the knowledge of the self, the yoga of great rising that breaks the knot of the heart.
