At the end of the year, sir, you will be my lord for one night; and you will have other children besides. Seeing that the goddess was carrying, he went away to his city; and coming back there at the year's end he found Urvasi, the mother of heroes, and, filled with joy, he passed the night with her. Then Urvasi spoke to him, wretched as he was and sick with the parting: Go to these gandharvas, and they will give me to you. He praised them, and being pleased they gave him a fire-pot, king; and taking it for Urvasi he came to understand what it was as he went about in the forest.
