Kasya's son was Kasi, and his son was Rastra, the father of Dirghatamas. Dirghatamas' son was Dhanvantari, who set the knowledge of long life going in the world. He is the eater of the sacrifice, a portion of Vasudeva, and the mere remembering of him destroys pain. His son was Ketuman, and of Ketuman was born Bhimaratha. From him came Divodasa, and then Dyuman, who is remembered as Pratardana. This same man is called Satrujit, and Vatsa, and Rtadhvaja; and he is called Kuvalayasva as well. After him came Alarka and the others. For sixty thousand years, and sixty hundred years besides, king, no one but Alarka enjoyed the earth while still a young man.
