9Babhru was Devavrdha's son. Of those two men they recite these two verses: Just as we hear it from far off, so do we see it up close. 10Babhru is the best of men, and Devavrdha is a match for the gods. Men to the number of sixty-five, and six thousand, and eight, 11came to deathlessness through Babhru and through Devavrdha. Mahabhoja held to dharma above all, and the Bhojas were in his line. 12Scorcher of foes, Vrsni's sons were Sumitra and Yudhajit. His were Sini and Anamitra, and from Anamitra came Nighna. 13Satrajit and Prasena were Nighna's two sons. There was another son of Anamitra, Sini, and his son was Satyaka. 14Then Yuyudhana, that is Satyaki, and his son Jaya, and then Kuni, then Yugandhara. Anamitra had another son, Vrsni, and from him
15came Svaphalka and Citraratha. To Svaphalka, on Gandini, there were twelve well-known sons with Akrura at their head: 16Asanga, Sarameya, Mrdura, Mrduvid, Giri, Dharmavrddha, Sukarman, Ksetropeksa, Arimardana, 17Satrughna, Gandhamada and Pratibahu, twelve in all. Their sister was named Sucara. Akrura had two sons as well, 18Devavan and Upadeva. Citraratha's sons were Prthu, Viduratha and many more, all of them joys of the Vrsnis.
