9That wonderful child, lotus-eyed, four-armed, holding up his weapons, conch and mace and discus, marked with the Srivatsa, the Kaustubha shining at his throat, clothed in yellow, lovely as a thick rain-cloud, 10his thousand curls wrapped about with the light of a crown and earrings of costly beryl, shining with a loose belt and armlets and bracelets and the rest: Vasudeva looked at him. 11His eyes wide with wonder, seeing Hari as his son, Anakadundubhi then, in the rush of the festival of Krsna's coming down, bathed, and in his gladness made over ten thousand cows to the brahmins. 12Then, having made him out to be the supreme Person, he bowed his body, steadied his mind, put his hands together and praised him, Bharata, as he lit the birth-chamber with his own light; and his fear was gone, for he knew what this was.
