39Homage to you, the Bhagavan, the Person, the great self, the dwelling of beings, being itself, beyond, the supreme Self. 40To the store of knowledge and of the knowing of it, to Brahman whose power has no end, beyond the strands and without change: homage to you, and to you who are not of nature. 41To time, to the navel of time, to the witness of time's parts; to the world, to the one who looks on at it, to the one who makes it, to the cause of the world. 42To the self of the elements and the subtle elements and the senses and the breath and the mind and the understanding and the resting place; to the one whose tasting of his own self is hidden away by self-regard made of the three strands.
43Homage to the endless, the subtle, the one who stands unmoved at the summit, the one who understands; to the one who goes along with the many doctrines, whose power is both what is said and what says it. 44Homage to the root of all proof, to the seer, to the womb of the teachings, to the one who goes out and the one who turns back, to the Veda: homage and homage. 45Homage to Krsna, to Rama, to the son of Vasudeva, to Pradyumna, to Aniruddha; homage to the lord of the Satvatas. 46Homage to the lamp of the strands, and to the one who covers the self over with the strands; to the one made out by the working of the strands, to the watcher of the strands, whose knowing is his own.
47To the one whose play is unshown, for the bringing about of everything that is shown: lord of the senses, homage to you, the sage whose way is silence. 48Homage to you, who know the goings of the higher and the lower and who oversee everything; to the not-world and to the world, to the one who looks at it and is the cause of it.
