¹Seeing him, Krsna's companion, with his long arms and eyes like fresh lotuses, in yellow cloth, wearing a lotus garland, his lotus face shining and his earrings burnished, the women of Vraja ²smiled brightly. Who is this handsome man? Where is he from, and whose is he, in the Unfallen's dress and the Unfallen's ornaments? So they all crowded round him eagerly, who had his refuge at the lotus feet of him whose renown is highest. ³Bowing modestly, they made him very welcome with shy laughing looks and kind true words and the rest; and when he had sat down and they knew him for the messenger of the lord of Fortune, they asked him in private:
