Then, taking leave of the cowherd women, and of Yasoda and Nanda, and saying goodbye to the cowherds, the man of the Dasarhas mounted his chariot to go. As he set out, Nanda and the rest came up to him with all sorts of presents in their hands, and with love, their eyes full of tears, they said: May the workings of our minds have their shelter at Krsna's lotus feet, our words speak his names, and our bodies be for bowing down to him and the like. Wherever we are driven by our works, at the Lord's will, may our delight, through auspicious deeds and through gifts, be in Krsna the Lord. Honoured in this way by the cowherds out of their devotion to Krsna, ruler of men, Uddhava went back to Mathura, which Krsna keeps.

He bowed to Krsna and told him how the devotion of the people of Vraja had risen over, and he gave the presents to Vasudeva and to Rama and to the king.
