37As many grains of dust as the falling tears take hold of, the tears of brahmins who weep, whose living has been carried off, who are open-handed and have households to keep: 38for that many years are kings, and the king's people, unchecked as they are, cooked in the pots of hell, when they have carried off what was given to brahmins. 39And whoever takes away a brahmin's living, whether he gave it himself or another gave it, is born a worm in dung for sixty thousand years. 40Let a brahmin's wealth never be mine. Men who are greedy for it become short-lived, they are beaten, they fall from their kingdoms, and they turn into snakes that make others shudder.
41You who are mine, never do harm to a brahmin, not even to one who has done wrong. Even if he strikes you or curses you again and again, bow to him always. 42As I bow to brahmins at every hour with my mind gathered, so you also bow. Whoever does otherwise has punishment from me coming to him. 43What belongs to a brahmin, once carried off, brings the taker down, even one who does not know he has taken it, as the brahmin's cow brought Nrga down. 44Having made this heard by the people of Dvaraka, the Bhagavan Mukunda, who cleanses all the worlds, went into his own house.
