Verse 50

⁵⁰Duryodhana gave as the marriage gift twelve hundred elephants sixty years old, and a hundred and twenty thousand horses, ⁵¹and six thousand chariots of gold, bright as the sun; and, loving his daughter as he did, a thousand maids with gold chains at their necks. ⁵²The Bhagavan, bull of the Satvatas, took all of it and set out with his son and his son's wife, greeted with gladness by his friends. ⁵³Then the plough-bearer went into his own city and met his kinsmen, whose hearts were full of love for him, and in the hall among the bulls of the Yadus he told them everything he had done among the Kurus. ⁵⁴And even today this city is seen tilted to the south along the Ganga, pointing to what Rama can do.
