Hearing what the Bhagavan sang, glad, his lotus face opening, he set his brothers to the conquest of the quarters, filled out as they were with Visnu's fire. He sent Sahadeva to the south with the Srnjayas, Nakula to the western quarter, the left-handed archer to the north, and Wolf-belly to the east with the Matsyas and the Kekayas and the Madrakas. Those heroes conquered the kings and by their strength brought back from the quarters much wealth to him to whom no enemy is born, king, since he was to hold the sacrifice. Hearing that Jarasandha had not been beaten, and seeing the king brood over it, Hari, the first of all, told him the very way that Uddhava had spoken.
