12The brahmin passed that night in the house of the Unfallen, and having eaten and drunk he counted himself happy, as though he had gone to heaven. 13Next day, greeted by the one whose being is the whole world and whose happiness is his own, he went along the road and came to his own house, dear one, gladdened. 14He had got no wealth from Krsna, and he had not asked for any himself. He went home ashamed, and at rest from having seen the great one. 15Ah, I have seen for myself how kind to brahmins that god is who loves brahmins: he holds Laksmi on his chest, and he took the poorest of poor men in his arms. 16What am I, poor and full of wrong, and what is Krsna, the home of Sri? And yet he held me in both arms, a brahmin only by family.
