6Draupadi said: Vaidarbhi, Bhadra, Jambavati, Kausala, Satyabhama, Kalindi, Saibya, Rohini, Laksmana, 7wives of Krsna, tell us this: how did the Unfallen, the Bhagavan himself, marry you, going along with the way of the world by his own maya? 8Rukmini said: The kings had their bows raised to hand me over to Caidya, and the soldiers no one can beat wear the dust of his feet on their heads. He carried me off as the lion carries his share out of a flock of goats and sheep. May the feet of him who is the home of Sri be there for me to worship. 9My father, his heart burning over the killing of his own brother, had smeared a charge on him. To wipe it off he set about it: he beat the king of the bears, and then gave the jewel; and my father, frightened by that, made me over to the mighty one, though I had been given already.
