Seeing those boys, the lady, her breasts running with love for her sons, embraced them, took them into her lap, and smelled their heads again and again. Glad, and overflowing at the touch of her sons, she gave them the breast, bewildered by the maya of Visnu, by which the sending forth of the world goes on. Having drunk that deathless milk of hers, left over from what the bearer of the mace had drunk, and having got the sight of the self by the touch of Narayana's body, they bowed to Govinda, to Devaki, to their father and to Bala, and while all beings looked on they went to the home of those who live in heaven.

Seeing that, and the coming and going of the dead, the lady Devaki was greatly astonished, and held it to be a maya made by Krsna, king.
