Seeing, touching and honouring my image and the people who are devoted to me; waiting upon me, praising me, and telling over my qualities and my deeds with a bowed head; trust in the hearing of my stories, keeping me steadily in mind, Uddhava, bringing to me everything one gets, and giving the self over as a servant does; telling of my birth and my deeds; taking gladness in my festivals; keeping a feast in my house with singing and dancing and instruments and gathered company; processions and the setting out of offerings at every festival of the year; the initiation that comes from the Veda and the one that comes from the tantra; and holding to the vows that are mine;

trust in the setting up of my image, and effort at it alone or together with others, and work on gardens and groves and playing grounds and towns and temples; the sweeping and the smearing, the sprinkling and the drawing of patterns: the service of my house, done for me as a servant does it, with no pretence in it.
