I am what they all come to· Verses 38–42

Brahmins, I have told you what is hidden in enumeration and in yoga; and know that I have come as Sacrifice, wanting to speak to you of your own duty. Best of the twice-born, I am what yoga comes to, and enumeration, and truth, and right order, and splendour, and good fortune, and fame, and self-command. All the qualities serve me, who am beyond the strands and expect nothing, the well-wisher, the dear one, the self; and evenness and not clinging and the rest, which are beyond the strands, serve me too. So the sages Sanaka and the rest, their doubt cut through, honoured me and sang me with their praises, in the highest devotion.

Well worshipped by those greatest of sages and well praised, I went back to my own home, while the one of highest standing looked on.
