7So asked by Uddhava, whose mind was full of love, the plaything of the world through his own powers, who has taken up the three forms, the Lord of lords spoke, smiling a smile that took the heart, with love. 8Bhagavan said: Well then, I shall tell you the dharma that is mine, which is greatly auspicious. A mortal who walks in it with trust conquers death, which is hard to conquer. 9Let him do all his works for my sake, remembering me gently, his mind and his thought given over to me, his mind and himself taking delight in the dharma that is mine. 10Let him take shelter in holy places, in those where the good who are given to me have sheltered; and in the doings of those given to me among gods and antigods and men.
11Alone, or together with others, let him have festivals held for me on the holy days, processions and great celebrations, with singing and dancing and the rest, with the splendour of a great king. 12Let him see me alone in all beings, outside and within, with nothing covering me; and let him see the self in the self, as a man with a clean heart sees the sky. 13So, greatly shining one, let him honour all beings by taking them as me, holding them so, and holding to knowledge alone.
