41Bhagavan said: Go, Uddhava, sent by me, to that hermitage of mine called Badari. There, made clean by bathing and touching in the water of the ford of my feet, 42and by the sight of the Alakananda, with all your stains shaken off, wearing bark, dear one, eating what the woods give, happy and wanting nothing, 43bearing the pairs as they come, well-mannered, your senses held in, at peace, your understanding settled, joined with knowing and with knowing fully, 44making plain to yourself what you have learned from me and holding it apart, your speech and your thought entered into me, be set on the dharma that is mine. Passing beyond the three courses, you will come to me, who am beyond them.
