16So, when the Kali age is nearly gone and people carry themselves like asses, the Bhagavan will come down in clarity, to keep dharma from harm. 17Of Visnu, teacher of all that moves and all that stands, the Lord, the self of everything, there will be a birth: to keep dharma from harm, for the good, and to put an end to their works, 18in the house of Visnuyasas, great of soul, the chief brahmin of the village Sambhala, Kalki will show himself. 19Mounting the swift horse Devadatta, the lord of the world, with the sword that puts down the wicked, holding the eight powers, 20ranging the earth on that quick horse, of a brightness nothing can match, he will strike down bandits by the ten million, men who cover themselves with the marks of kings.
