Having lived through this display of the yogamaya that Narayana had made, he went to that same one for refuge. Hari, I have come to the root of your feet, which gives freedom from fear to those who come. For by that maya of yours, which wears the look of knowledge, even the wise are bewildered. The revered Rudra, riding across the sky on his bull with Rudrani, surrounded by his own troops, saw him sitting there with his self held still. Then Uma, looking at that sage, spoke to the one who dwells on the mountain: Look at this brahmin, revered one, with his self and his senses and his mind held still, still as the sea when the wind has dropped and its shoals of fish have gone quiet. Bring his austerity to its full accomplishment; you are the giver of accomplishment.
