In plain words

Āṇṭāḷ, to Kāma, the god of love: Anaṅgadēva, bodiless god of love: all through the month of Tai I made bright the ground where you would come and drew cool patterned circles on it, and in the first days of Māci I adorned the street where you would come with lovely fine sand, decking it out to add to its beauty. Wondering, ‘Can I live on through this?’, I bowed in worship to you and to your younger brother [Sāma]. Now ordain that I serve the Lord of Vēṅkaṭam, whose hand bears the matchless discus that spits fierce fire.
