In plain words
Āṇṭāḷ, to the sea: Sea, O sea! Though you were his couch, he churned you and stirred you into turmoil, entered your body and took away the essence welling within you [the nectar]; he has entered my body too and is taking away my life. Will you go to his couch, the serpent [Ādiśēṣa], and tell it all my sorrows, for that Wondrous One to hear?
