Āṇṭāḷ asks, and those who saw him answer: 'Have you seen the perfect one who is all of a piece, dark within as he is without, that great dark cloud who stands against all my thoughts?' 'We saw him in Vṛndāvana, coming with a great crowd about him, like the wide sky brimming with hosts of stars that men long for.'
