He dies while he is alive, and dying he lives again; that is how he is taken into the Void. Live in the lampblack and stay stainless, and you will not be thrown into the ocean of becoming again. My Rām, this is the way the milk is churned. By the Guru's teaching hold the little mind still; this is how the nectar is drunk. *(refrain)* The Guru's arrow pierced what was hard as a thunderbolt, and the state of light stood open. In śakti's dark I took a rope for a snake; that is over, and now the dwelling is Śiv's house, and it does not shake. He strung the bow without an arrow, and this world was pierced through, brother. Sunk in all ten directions, swung about by the wind, and still the string holds and the love stays fastened. Lifted out of itself, the little mind melts into the Void, and doubleness and the bad mind have run off. Says Kabīr, I have seen the One for myself, and my love is fastened on Rām's name.
