Remember Rām, mind, or you will come to regret it. The sinning little soul goes on grasping, and today or tomorrow it will get up and go. *(refrain)* You clung to greed and threw your life away; you will be lost in the delusion of māyā. Do not be proud of your wealth and your youth. Like paper you will come apart. When Death comes and takes you by the hair and throws you down, that day nothing will be in your power. You have done no simran, no singing, no mercy, and so you will take the blows on your face. When Dharam Rāi calls the account in, what face will you carry there? Says Kabīr, listen, saints: in the sādhsaṅgat you will cross over. *Dharam Rāi*, the one who keeps the record of a life and judges by it.
