In plain words
Naked we come, naked we go. Not one will stay, not the king, not the chief. Rām the king is the nine treasures to me. Property, attachment, wife and money are what you have. *(refrain)* It does not come along with you, it does not go with you as a companion. What has it come to, the elephants tethered at your door? The fort of Laṅkā was made of gold. What did the fool Rāvaṇ carry away? Says Kabīr, give a little thought to virtue. The gambler walks off shaking out both hands.
