In plain words

Prahlād was sent off to the schoolroom. He took a crowd of boys along with him. 'Why do you teach me this tangle of nonsense? Write Śrī Gopāl on my tablet for me.' 'I will not let go of the name of Rām, bābā. I have no use for any other reading.' *(refrain)* Sandā and Markā went and told his father. He sent in haste and had Prahlād called. 'Give up this habit of saying Rām. Do as I say and I will let you go at once.' 'Why do you torment me again and again? The Lord made the waters, the land, the hills and the mountains. I will not leave the one Rām; that would be an insult to the Guru. Throw me in the fire if you like, or cut me down.' He drew his sword, blazing with rage: 'Show me this protector of yours.' The Lord came out of the pillar in a vast form. Harnākhas was torn open, ripped apart by the claws. He is the highest Purakh, the god above the gods. For the sake of bhagati he took the shape of Narsiṅgh. Says Kabīr, nobody can see where he ends. Again and again he lifted Prahlād to safety.
