In plain words

The poet, longing for Vēṅkaṭam: I do not want the wealth of ruling heaven, with the heavenly maidens [Rambhā and the rest] of unfailing youth all around me, nor the kingship of the earth. May I become one who has the fortune to be born, if only a fish, in a mountain pool on holy Vēṅkaṭam, with its flowering groves full of honey.
