In plain words

Daśaratha, reproaching Kaikēsi: You sent into the forest my son, who learned the beautiful Vedas from teachers rich in learning, and his younger brother [Lakṣmaṇa], and my gentle daughter-in-law [Sītā], lovely as a mynah, whose waist is so slender that lightning cannot match it; you brought blame upon your own son [Bharata], who is devoted to you, and sent me too to far-off heaven. What have you gained, Kaikēsi? You live happily on this wide earth.
