In plain words

Has our bond come to an end? What can this be? She is like Tillai, city of the bowman who once, on a day long past, won victory so that the cities of his foes fell into fire, burned and turned to dust. My mind sank at the whirlpool of her navel; she stood with her girdle binding it, and then she walked away, and it was pained and ruined. Even if that mind should come back, it will not remain as one mind.

Line by line

Has our bond ended? What can this be? Into fire the foes' cities, once on a day, falling, burning, so as to become dust, who won victory, the bowman: like his Tillai city she, sinking at the whirlpool navel, the girdle binding, she who stood; as she walked, pained, ruined, that mind, even if it came back, one mind remaining, it will not, indeed.
