In plain words
The women of Āyppāṭi cry: "He who holds on his left the conch he blows to everyone's praise, who plays the sweet-sounding bamboo flute; who, when the patient kings [the Pāṇḍavas] had lost at false dice and could not get even ten villages, took their side and gave his help in the Bhārata war that day: that messenger is pulling a scary face at us [turning out his eyelids, his hair over his face]! Oh, mother, he is pulling a scary face!"
