In plain words

The poet, of the fruit of this decad: Though the gods in the worlds above worship him with longing, Kaṇṇaṉ passed them by and came along the street of the cowherds' village behind the cattle; how the young cowherd girls who saw him fell in love, Viṭṭucittaṉ, lord of the people of Putuvai, where bees settle in the groves, sang in this garland of ten. Devotees who sing it in melody, so that its delight comes through, will reach Vaikuṇṭha, supreme above all.
