In plain words
The milk the calf has fouled at the udder. The flower the bee has spoiled, the water the fish. Mother, what shall I bring and lay on Gōbind's worship? There is no other flower, and I can find nothing without compare. *(refrain)* The sandal tree stands coiled about with snakes. Poison and nectar live together in one place. The incense, the lamp, the food set down: a scent has got into them all. How then are your servants to worship you? I give up body and mind, I lay them on the worship. By the Guru's grace I find the Stainless One. This worship and this offering are not yours. Says Ravidās, what then is my state? *mailāgar*, the sandal that grows on the Malaya hills.
