In plain words

In whatever family a sādhū, a Vaiṣṇav, is born, caste or no caste, poor man or lord, that house is known through the world for a clean fragrance. *(refrain)* Brahmin, Vaiś, Śūdra and Khatrī, Ḍom, Chaṇḍāl, and the man whose mind is unclean: singing of the Bhagvant they are made clean, and each carries himself across and both his families with him. Blessed is that village, blessed that place, blessed that clean household and all its people. Whoever drank the real juice let the other tastes go; sunk in it, he threw out the poison and lost it. Pandit, soldier, king under the canopy: not one of them is equal to a bhagat. As the lotus leaf keeps close to the water, says Ravidās, so are they born into the world.
