In plain words

He keeps the six rites and he comes of a good family, but there is no bhagati for Hari in his heart. Talk of the lotus feet gives him no pleasure: set him on the scales and he weighs level with a *supac*. Mind, take heed, take heed, you heedless mind. Why will you not look at Bālmīk? From what caste to what station he rose, and he became deathless: the bhagati of Rām sets a man apart. *(refrain)* What praise can the poor world give him? He has the run of all three worlds. Ajāmal, Pingulā, Lubhat and the elephant went to Hari's side. Crooked minds like those got across. Why will you not cross over, Ravidās? *supac*, a man who cooks dog flesh, reckoned the lowest of the low.
