In plain words
Longing does not rise for what has not been seen. And whatever is seen comes to nothing. Whoever says the Name with every letter of it, he is the jōgī, and he alone is free of wanting. If a man comes to know Rām and says him over, the *pāras* touches him and the doubleness is gone. *(refrain)* That sage eats up the doubleness of the mind. With no door to go through he passes into the three worlds. Every man acts out the nature of his own mind. Whoever becomes the doer lives without fear. For the sake of the fruit the woods break into flower. When the fruit sets, the flower is gone. For the sake of giān a man works hard at his karam. When the giān comes, there the karam is finished. For the sake of butter the knowing man churns the curd. Alive, he is free; he is always in nirbāṇ. Says Ravidās, this is the highest bairāg. Rām is in your heart. Why will you not say him, you luckless man? *pāras*, the stone whose touch turns iron to gold.
