Verse 29

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

The poet, to the Lord: O Lord by nature, whose very being is knowledge! You are higher than the highest [all the souls]; you lie on the waters of the ocean as your bed [as Aniruddha]; you keep the one Lady [Śrī Mahālakṣmī] on your chest and delight in her; and beyond this you are born among men too [as Rāma and Kṛṣṇa]. Can anyone, even the Vedas or the wise, say of your nature of mercy, "it is such"?
