In plain words
The poet, to the Lord: O our Kaṇṇaṉ, whose body is like the rain-cloud! O Lord of those in heaven [the eternal attendants]! The Vedas and their followers say you lie on the serpent bed in the [milky] sea; and besides that they say you are not of any one place, and that there is no limit to the places where you may be reached. So, since these are beyond me, tell me, a mere dog, the place where I may reach you, and the way I may know it and bow down there.
