In plain words
The poet, to the Lord: O Best of Persons, who crawled between the [twin marutu] trees so that they fell, who subdued the elephant [Kuvalayāpīḍa] in rut, beat its head till its strength was gone, broke its matchless tusk and rejoiced! O you who tore the mouth of the horse [Kēśi], whose feet measured the earth [as Vāmana]! Are you not Māl, who loves his devotees, lying in Kuṭantai so that those learned in the Veda may receive their boons?
