In plain words
The poet, of the people of the world: One dies the day one is born, or one dies after a long life; besides these, no one at all, not even Brahmā and the rest, stays on in this world and lives for ever. Though they see it, why is it that the ignorant do not think on the lotus feet that measured the earth that day, and go on by the path of light to Paramapadam above the sky, and live there as the equals of the eternal attendants [nityasūris]?
