In plain words
The poet, to the Lord: O our Lord! You made me restrain the five senses so hard to restrain, cut away the bonds of desire, and come to stand firm in your service. Even if you, who brought me so far, now think to let me go, do not carry my saving through, and stir in me some strong desire for other things, I have no master but you, who lie in the sea.
