The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Aparokṣānubhūtiḥ

Verse 140

In plain words

Whatever you hold in mind with fierce intensity, with a conviction that never wavers, that is what you swiftly become. Know it from the wasp and the grub.

Close to the Sanskrit

Whatever thing is dwelt upon with intense force, by a mind whose nature is firm conviction, that indeed the man quickly becomes — this is to be known, as in the case of the wasp and the grub.
