The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Aparokṣānubhūtiḥ

Verse 66

In plain words

Pot and clay never stop standing as effect and cause. Scripture and reason say it is exactly so here, between this whole spread-out world and Brahman.

Close to the Sanskrit

Just as the relation of effect and cause always holds between the pot and the clay, so too, precisely, by scripture and reasoning, here between the manifest world and Brahman.
