The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Ātmabodhaḥ

Verse 19

In plain words

Not the body, not the senses, not the mind, not the intellect, not even prakṛti — the Self is other than all of them, and it watches everything they do. Know it that way, always: as a king.

Close to the Sanskrit

Distinct from body, senses, mind, intellect, and prakṛti; the witness of their modifications — one should know the Self, like a king, always.
