देहेन्द्रियगुणान्कर्माण्यमले सच्चिदात्मनि ।अध्यस्यन्त्यविवेकेन गगने नीलतादिवत् ॥ २१ ॥

The body, the senses, the qualities of nature, the deeds — people lay all of it over the ātman, which is spotless being and pure awareness. They do it for one reason: they cannot tell the two apart. It is how we give the sky a blue it never had.
