The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Daśaślokī

Verse 9

In plain words

Not white, not black, not red, not yellow. Not bent, not heavy, not short, not tall. Formless, then — because form is only what light shapes. That one thing left over, auspicious, alone: I am that.

Close to the Sanskrit

Not white, not black, not red, not yellow; not hunchbacked, not stout, not short, not tall; formless likewise, because of being the shaper of form through light — that one, left remaining, auspicious, alone, am I.
