Śrī gurvaṣṭakam (guru aṣṭakam)

Verse 2

In plain words

A wife, money, sons, grandsons and all the rest of it, a house, relatives — say every bit of it has actually arrived. If the mind has not fastened itself to the lotus feet of the guru: then what? Then what? Then what? Then what?

Close to the Sanskrit

Wife, wealth, sons, grandsons and all such, house, kinsmen — all this indeed has come into being; if the mind is not fastened to the lotus feet of the guru, then what? then what? then what? then what?
