वीताखिलविषयेच्छं जातानन्दाश्रुपुलकमत्यच्छम् ।सीतापतिदूताद्यं वातात्मजमद्य भावये हृद्यम् ॥ १ ॥
In plain words
Every craving for every object of sense has left him. Tears of bliss rise in him, the hair on his body stands up with the thrill of it, and he is clear all the way through. First among the messengers of Sītā's lord, born of the wind — today I hold him before my mind, and he is dear to the heart.
Close to the Sanskrit
Him whose desire for all sense-objects has departed, in whom tears of bliss and thrilling of the hair have arisen, exceedingly clear; the foremost of the messengers of Sītā's lord — the son of the wind — today I contemplate, the one dear to the heart.
